Conducted in small groups, this program goes beyond conventional treatments and addresses the neurological and emotional roots of pain using an approach which is rooted in Pain Neuroscience and Yoga Psychotherapy.

The program is divided into 2 parts:

  1. Understanding the Neuroscience of Pain: Research has shown that simply educating oneself on the truth behind chronic pain is a great augmenter in helping people in self-healing their pain. Here you’ll learn the truth behind chronic pain backed by latest research in neuroscience. We will also explore the mind-body connection and its impact on health, the sources of emotional distress including our personality traits, and how the suppressed emotions physiologically manifest as pain and other mind-body conditions.
  2. Living Pain Free for life – This is the core of the program, where we integrate ancient yogic wisdom to uncover how your internal patterns contribute to chronic pain and mind-body symptoms. Through a guided 3-step healing process, you will develop awareness of your stresses and emotional tension, release blocked energies, and reprogram mind-behavior patterns to resolve inner conflicts. What is this program based on?

This program is based on latest research findings in pain neuroscience combined it with the Yogic techniques for emotional healing to address the root causes of chronic pain which are mostly suppressed and repressed emotions in our subconscious.

I have structural problem, can this program still help me?

If you have back or other musculoskeletal pain without showing neurological signs of nerve impairment it’s likely this program will be helpful. It’s also effective in many cases where scans have shown degenerative changes or bulging discs. The latest medical evidence is showing a poor relationship between these kinds of changes, and chronic pain. This program is effective at making the neurological, mental and emotional shifts which are usually required to overcome chronic pain.

As per our list of conditions the program is usually not an appropriate treatment for pain from cancer or nerve injury, unless there is a comorbidity of a mindbody symptom with the organic condition. However even with these conditions you will find the program extremely helpful to alleviate suffering and develop resilience to pain

Do I need prior yoga experience?

No prior experience is necessary. You may choose to go with the option of taking the program with regular yoga sessions that we conduct as movement is an important aspect of healing. If your movement is highly restricted it is recommended you work with a personal Yoga therapist.

How is this different from a regular yoga program?

This program is not a regular yoga session. It’s specifically designed to address chronic pain from a scientific and holistic perspective, focusing on the mind, nervous system and emotional regulation. You will get an in-depth understanding of why pain is created by the mind, how it impacts our body, and how we can heal ourselves of pain through right knowledge and understanding of principles of yoga psychology and philosophy. The program complements the understanding with yogic techniques of movement, relaxation, breathing, meditation, and self reflection to reprogram our mind or brain to be pain free.

How quickly will I see results?

For most people a shift in their pain happens after initial few sessions only. While for others who are holding deep emotional tension within which exist at subconscious and unconscious levels, the process takes some time until they do the work to release the causes of their pain. By the end of the program you will be empowered with the right understanding and the tools to be pain free for life.
